Us, that means Jan Catry and Dicky (Benedikte) Coucke. We’re both originally from Belgium, West-Flanders but now we’re living in the province of Flemish-Brabant.
After having spent some holidays with our family in France, we fell in love with Italy from our very first holiday in Umbria, in 2002. Why’s that? First of all, there are all those people that gave us a warm welcome every time. Besides that, there are the sunny climate, the wonderful nature, the strong historic treasures and ‘last but not least’... the delicious Italian cooking and the excellent wines that appealed to us. We’ve spent over ten gorgeous Summer holidays in different places in Italy.
At the time we started our search for a holiday residence, in 2015, it didn’t take much time to decide upon its location: we would follow our heart and it would be in Italy. The domain itself appealed to us instantly by the astonishing view from the large terrace. One word says it all: marvelous... we were completely sold. What’s more, this region of Le Marche and also its immediate surroundings have so much to offer, not just its ‘postcard views’.
Besides, the house itself offered the opportunity to equip the garage as a games room, with as a consequence that also the kids (and the child in each of us) were convinced. Furthermore the house is the ideal place to enjoy your holiday with family and friends, in many different assemblies. By its 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, in the 2 buildings, we saw the possibility to spend holidays with the kids, friends and family in Casa Vista Verde.
